Calcxi respects the intellectual property rights of creators. This page explains what our downloader tools actually do, and how a rights holder can ask for action if they believe their work is being misused.

Every notice sent to support@calcxi.com is read by Aayush Kulshrestha personally. There is no ticketing system to get lost in.

What Our Tools Actually Do

Calcxi provides tools that retrieve media from third-party platforms, currently an Instagram Reel downloader and a YouTube thumbnail downloader. They work the same way. You paste a link to a publicly visible post. Our server requests that media from the platform's own servers and passes the file straight to your browser.

Neither tool can access private accounts, restricted posts, or anything that requires a login. If the content is not publicly visible to a logged-out visitor, it cannot be retrieved.

What We Do Not Host

× Calcxi does not host, store, archive, or index any third-party video, image, or audio file.

× There is no library, no search, and no way to browse what other people have downloaded. Nothing is retained after your request completes.

× Calcxi is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to Instagram, Meta, YouTube or Google. Those names are trademarks of their respective owners.

Because nothing is stored here, a takedown request about the original post usually needs to go to the platform hosting it. That is not a brush-off. If you are a rights holder and you want action from us, section 04 sets out how to ask, and section 05 sets out what we can actually do.

User Responsibility

Downloading a file does not transfer ownership of it. Copyright in a Reel, video or thumbnail remains with the person who created it.

These tools are intended for saving your own content, keeping a personal offline copy, or working with material you have permission to use. Re-uploading someone else's work as your own, running it as advertising, or building an account that reposts other people's content can infringe their copyright and breach the source platform's terms.

How you use a downloaded file is your responsibility, not ours. Section 03 of the Terms & Conditions sets out the full position, including what counts as acceptable use and what does not.

Filing a Copyright Notice

If you own rights in content and believe Calcxi is facilitating infringement, email support@calcxi.com with the subject line DMCA Notice. Please include:

01 · Your identity

Full name, postal address and email. If you are acting for someone else, state who you represent and in what capacity.

02 · The work

A description of the copyrighted work, and a link to the original post so ownership can be verified.

03 · The specific URL

The exact Calcxi page you are complaining about. A general statement that the tools exist is not something we can act on.

04 · Two statements

That you believe in good faith the use is not authorised by the rights holder or the law; and that the information in your notice is accurate and you are authorised to act.

05 · Signature

A physical or electronic signature. Typing your full name at the end of the email is sufficient.

What Happens Next

Valid notices are acknowledged within two business days. Depending on what the notice concerns, we may remove or edit the page named, block specific content from being processed by our tools, or restrict access where a pattern of misuse is evident.

Where the complaint concerns material hosted by Instagram or YouTube rather than by us, we will say so plainly and point you to the right place, rather than leaving the notice unanswered.

A note on jurisdiction

Calcxi is operated from India, so the United States DMCA does not automatically apply to it and no designated agent is registered with the US Copyright Office. This policy follows the DMCA format anyway, because it is the process rights holders already know, and because a clear route to a real person is worth more than a technicality. Notices are handled on their merits regardless of which country they come from.

Counter-Notice

If content of yours was removed and you believe that was a mistake or a misidentification, you may send a counter-notice to the same address with the subject line DMCA Counter-Notice.

Include your contact details, identify the material and where it appeared, and state that you believe in good faith it was removed in error. Knowingly filing a false notice or counter-notice can carry legal consequences in several jurisdictions.
