Calculator Accuracy Policy

Last Updated August 2026

At Calcxi, we are committed to providing reliable, accurate, and user-friendly calculators, smart tools, converters, and utilities for people working with AI.

This Calculator Accuracy Policy explains how we approach calculation accuracy, formula validation, testing, updates, and limitations across the Calcxi platform.

Formula Verified

Every formula checked against its published source before launch.

Continuously Updated

Tools updated when regulations, rates, or standards change.

Estimates Only

All outputs are informational estimates, not professional advice.

User-Driven Fixes

Error reports acknowledged within two business days.

01

Our Accuracy Commitment

Calcxi is designed to help users perform calculations quickly and efficiently. We strive to ensure that every calculator provides practical, logically correct, and consistent outputs based on accepted formulas, methodologies, and standards, across all categories on the platform:

02

Formula Verification Process

Before any calculator is published or updated on Calcxi, formulas and logic go through a multi-stage verification process:

Mathematical verification. Formula logic checked against accepted mathematical principles.
Equation testing. Known inputs run through the calculator to confirm expected outputs.
Cross-checking. The same inputs run through two or three established calculators, and any disagreement resolved before publishing.
Logic validation. Conditional branches, edge cases, and zero-value inputs verified.
Edge-case analysis. Zero, negatives, very large values, and empty fields tested to catch unexpected behaviour.
Usability testing. Tool reviewed for clarity, labelling, and ease of use across devices.

Where the formulas come from

Different categories draw on different kinds of source. Rather than list impressive-sounding organisations, here is what each group actually uses.

Mathematics

Standard, long-established methods, the same ones taught in any textbook. These are set out step by step on each tool's page so you can follow the working by hand and confirm the result yourself. Nothing here depends on trusting me.

Finance

Publicly documented financial formulas: amortisation, compound interest, lease payment structure, and standard event-study methodology. Each is checked against two or three established calculators before publication, and the method is written on the page.

Health & fitness

Formulas published openly by public health bodies. These are general population equations. They take no account of your build, medical history, medication or circumstances, which is exactly why the output is framed as a starting point rather than a verdict.

Construction & cost estimates

Published contractor pricing ranges, manufacturer specifications, and openly available industry cost surveys. These are the least precise tools on the site. Real quotes vary heavily by region, installer and specification, so treat the output as a rough bracket to start a conversation with a contractor, not a quote.

Creator & platform tools

Each platform's own public documentation, plus the behaviour of its public endpoints. Where a figure is an industry estimate rather than a published number, advertising rates for instance, it is labelled as an estimate on the tool page itself.

One rule underpins all of this: a source is only named if it was actually read. Several respected standards in construction and engineering sit behind paywalls costing hundreds of dollars. Those have not been purchased, so they are not cited here, even though listing them would look more authoritative. A citation you cannot verify is worth less than no citation at all.

03

Continuous Updates & Improvements

We continuously review, improve, and update calculators across all Calcxi categories to maintain accuracy and usability over time. The goal is for tools to stay practical, modern, and reliable, not just at launch but for as long as they are published.

What Triggers an Update

Formula revisions or corrections Regulatory or legal changes Rate or pricing changes User feedback and error reports Bug fixes Performance or usability improvements

How Updates Are Tracked

Each page carries a last updated date That date changes only when the page actually changes Major formula changes are noted in the tool description Corrections published once verified
04

Estimation & Informational Nature

Most calculators on Calcxi are intended to provide estimates or informational outputs rather than guaranteed or legally binding results. Actual outcomes in the real world may vary due to factors outside any calculator's scope:

Regional regulations Local tax rules Financial institution policies Individual health conditions Market changes User-supplied assumptions External variables beyond our control

Calculator outputs on Calcxi should never be interpreted as:

Financial advice
Investment recommendations
Legal guidance
Medical advice
Tax instruction
Professional consultation

Users should independently verify critical calculations before making important financial, medical, legal, or business decisions. See our Disclaimer for full terms.

05

Token Counters & Cost Estimators

The AI Utilities deserve their own note, because people often assume they work differently from how they do.

These tools do not use AI to produce their answers. A token counter applies the published tokenisation rules for a given model to the text you paste. The same text always returns the same count. There is no model making a judgement call, and nothing you type is sent to a language model.

What can drift is the pricing layer on top:

Providers change their per-token pricing, sometimes without much notice, and a cost estimate is only as current as the rate behind it.
New model versions can use a different tokeniser, so a count that was right last month may not match a newly released model.
A real API call includes system prompts, formatting, and overhead that a paste-in counter cannot see, so your actual bill will usually be somewhat higher than the estimate.

Treat the token count as reliable and the cost figure as a planning estimate. If a rate here looks out of date against the provider's own pricing page, tell me and I will update it.

06

User Responsibility

Accurate outputs depend on accurate inputs. Users are responsible for ensuring the information they enter is correct before relying on any result.

Review all inputs carefully before calculating
Validate assumptions built into your inputs
Check units and formats match what the tool expects
Confirm outputs where precision matters
Consult professionals for important financial, legal, or medical decisions

Incorrect user inputs may result in inaccurate outputs. Calcxi is not responsible for errors arising from incorrect, incomplete, or unrealistic input values entered by users.

07

Financial, Medical & Legal Limitations

Certain calculators, especially those related to finance and health, involve complex variables that go beyond the scope of automated estimation.

Calcxi does not guarantee compliance with:

Regional laws
Tax regulations
Lending policies
Healthcare standards
Financial institution practices
Insurance requirements

Users should consult qualified professionals, whether an accountant, financial adviser, doctor or solicitor, before making decisions based on calculator results.

08

Error Reporting & Feedback

User feedback is central to how we maintain and improve Calcxi. We actively encourage visitors to report any issues they encounter. You can report:

Incorrect formulas Inaccurate outputs Outdated calculations Broken tools Usability issues Technical problems

Please contact us with your report. Reports are acknowledged within two business days. Once a correction is verified it is published and the page's last updated date changes, so you can see that the fix actually shipped. User feedback plays an important role in improving calculator reliability across the entire platform.

09

No Absolute Guarantee

While we work continuously to improve accuracy and reliability, Calcxi cannot guarantee that every calculator or output will always be:

· Error-free in every possible scenario or jurisdiction
· Fully complete for all possible input combinations
· Universally applicable across all regions, regulations, and contexts
· Perfectly accurate for every individual use case

One person builds and maintains this site, and no review process catches everything. Use of Calcxi calculators and tools is at your own discretion. See our Disclaimer for full liability terms.

10

Transparency & Trust

The long-term goal is a transparent, trustworthy set of online calculators and utility tools. Everything here is aimed at giving users tools they can depend on, and policies that explain exactly how those tools are built and maintained.

Clear Methods

Each calculator explains the formula behind its result.

Checkable By Hand

The working is written out so you can confirm the answer yourself.

Honest Limits

Where a tool is a rough estimate, the page says so rather than implying precision.

Named Accountability

One person builds and maintains this site, and his name is on every page.

Open Policies

This policy, the Editorial Policy, Privacy Policy, and Disclaimer are all public.

Corrections Welcome

Every page carries an email link for reporting an error.
